Jerome works as a block man at a butchery in Midrand.

At around 17:00 the same day, Rene received a text from Jerome asking what was prepared for supper, which was the last communication they had.

“He never returned home, and his phone and WhatsApp messages went unanswered,” said Rene.

“At first, I thought maybe he had gone to a friend’s place and would return on Sunday.”

However, when Rene contacted her husband’s workplace, she learned that while he had been at work, he left and never returned.

The family has since reported him missing to Norkem Park SAPS.

Jerome is described as 1.75m tall, with hazel brown eyes, a light complexion, and tattoos on his arms and hands.
