EMPD holds 16 Days of Activism campaign

The officers taught the community about GBV, domestic violence, child abuse, teenage pregnancy and substance abuse.

The EMPD Social Crime Prevention Unit officers held The 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign at the Kaalfontein Informal Settlement in the Kempton Park area on November 24.

City spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said officers educated the community by doing walkabouts and educating community members about GBV, domestic violence, child abuse, teenage pregnancy and substance abuse.

Dlamini said they also distributed pamphlets on those topics and encouraged the community to report any forms of abuse to the local authorities so they can take action against the perpetrator.
