Three lives lost in tragic Norkem Park crash

Norkem Park SAPS is investigating a car crash that claimed three lives on November 24 at the intersection of De Wiekus and Beukes streets.
According to Norkem Park SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Barbara-Anne Ferreira, the crash resulted in the deaths of three occupants in the vehicle.
She said they succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

“This is a devastating loss,” said Ferreira.
“We urge all drivers to exercise extreme caution and responsibility behind the wheel.
“The lives lost in this crash will never be forgotten, and we hope this tragedy serves as a wake-up call for our community.”
In light of the accident, Norkem Park SAPS has reminded motorists of essential road safety measures.
“Obey all speed limits and adjust your driving to match the road conditions,” Ferreira said.
“Never get behind the wheel after consuming alcohol or using impairing substances. Always wear your seatbelt, ensure that all passengers are buckled up and avoid distractions such as using a cellphone while driving.”
