Muzi Mazibuko and his soup kitchen had a remarkable year in 2024, collaborating closely with various organisations to cater to the needs of the community, with a particular focus on supporting the elderly.

Despite facing both highs and lows, the soup kitchen remained steadfast in its mission to help, as hunger continues to affect households across the community.

On December 17, Mazibuko hosted the final event of the year to celebrate the success they achieved in 2024.

The event was graced by Chief Macigwane, key stakeholders, and sponsors.

While the event was delayed due to a water crisis, everything eventually ran smoothly as the team refused to let the situation derail their plans.

Mazibuko emphasised that the key to community progress lies in dialogue and collaboration.

“Dialogue and openness should replace the barriers in our community. It’s all about conveying concerns and ideas with one unified goal.

“Mutual understanding is essential so that we can build a united community for the future.
