Shimza donates 2 000 pairs of shoes to Thembisa learners

Renowned DJ Ashley ‘Shimza’ Raphala again demonstrated his commitment to his community by donating 2 000 pairs of Hopeful Soles school shoes to disadvantaged children in Thembisa on January 14.

The donation, in collaboration with the Hollywood Foundation’s Back to School campaign, aims to equip learners with essential footwear as they begin their new academic year.

This annual initiative follows the success of Shimza’s One Man Show music event and has grown significantly over the years, thanks to continued support from local communities, eventgoers, and corporate partners.

Shimza highlighted the importance of education in shaping future leaders.

“Education is the foundation for creating brighter futures, and I am proud to play a minor role in helping these children take their first steps towards a better tomorrow.
