Foundation aims to feed over 2 000 people this Easter in Gauteng

As Easter approaches, the Serve to Grow Foundation is preparing to feed over 2 000 people across Gauteng, including areas in the East Rand, West Rand, and Kempton Park, on April 19.
Founded as a registered NPO, Serve to Grow has been active for about three years, although the directors and team members have been involved in community service for over 15 years.

Justine Koch, the foundation’s fundraising coordinator, said the organisation has already distributed 2 000 packs of baby nappies across Johannesburg.

In addition to food, they have also assisted those in need with clothes, but despite their efforts, the foundation operates without any dedicated funding.
“We are looking for companies to sponsor us for our ongoing projects and to help keep those who are vulnerable sustained,” said Koch.
The inspiration for this initiative comes from the realisation that many families, especially during Easter, face financial constraints.
Some are unable to afford Easter treats while others can.

The Serve to Grow Foundation aims to alleviate some of this burden by providing special Easter treats for children and offering support to struggling families.

The foundation has identified high-need areas and will set up feeding points at various locations.
At each venue, a Breyani Feeding will be served to provide a nutritious meal for people in need.
In addition to the community feeding, the foundation will host 36 underprivileged children from a local daycare centre at Glen Marais Spur.
The children will enjoy a special meal, playtime, Easter hampers, and other treats.

The Serve to Grow Foundation invites local businesses and the community to support this initiative by donating to the cause.
Every contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful impact.
Those who wish to donate can contact Justine Koch on 074 659 6193.
