Over 40 learners took part in the South African initiative, which was open to students from all grades, ensuring that anyone interested in upgrading their knowledge of business and financial management could participate.
Two learners from the school represented South Africa at the global programme in Ghana.

Mpho Mchunu from Junior Achievement South Africa shared insights on the international programme.
“The Ghana programme was an incredible experience. While similar to the local initiative, Delta Airlines funded it.
“Now in its second year, the programme aims to empower young women to break barriers in traditionally male-dominated careers. Our girls could learn about branding and enhance their entrepreneurial skills.
“They spent five enriching days in Ghana and received certificates presented by some of the most influential women in the industry. I believe the skills they gained will be invaluable in their future careers.”
Mpumelelo Maseko, a learner at Ponelopele Oracle Secondary School, shared their experience.

“I joined the programme in July last year and took three months to complete. It was an exciting and engaging journey that kept me occupied and helped me avoid negative influences.
“The most valuable lesson I learnt was financial management, particularly how to manage money and data effectively.
“This programme is crucial in our lives as it teaches financial literacy and independence at an early age, which we need to practice as we grow.”
