The Serve to Grow Foundation embarked on a heartfelt mission to spread love, hope, and warmth throughout the streets of Kempton Park on April 20.
In the spirit of Easter, a time of reflection, renewal, and generosity, the foundation brought dignity and joy to some of the city’s most vulnerable residents.
Thanks to the generosity of Bossa Bedfordview, under the kind leadership of Dennis Best, 500 mouth-watering burgers and chips were prepared and donated.
These meals did more than satisfy hunger they served as powerful gestures of kindness and compassion.
About 400 of these meals were distributed across Kempton Park, reaching people living on the streets, including those at MES Kempton Park, as well as individuals staying at Allen Park and Glenny Terrace.
The initiative was made possible through the selfless partnership of donors Fabian and Justine, and the passionate team at the Serve to Grow Foundation.
For more than 15 years, TSTGF has been a beacon of support in the community, consistently offering help to the vulnerable, regardless of race, nationality, or background.
“We believe in showing compassion to those in need,” said members of the foundation, reinforcing their inclusive approach to outreach.
In addition to the hearty meals, the foundation also handed out Easter eggs, adding a sweet and festive touch to the day.
“Everyone deserves a little chocolate magic,” one volunteer said, as smiles lit up the faces of the recipients.
“This Easter celebration was more than just a food distribution, it was a living example of the foundation’s guiding motto: “We grow when we serve.”
Through this initiative, volunteers, donors, and the foundation’s core team demonstrated the transformative power of community spirit.
Their collective actions proved that kindness and compassion can bridge divides, restore dignity, and foster lasting change.
The success of such events would not be possible without the unwavering support of donors and volunteers who give generously of their time and resources.
As the Serve to Grow Foundation continues its work, it remains deeply committed to sowing seeds of love, hope, and care wherever it goes.
At its heart, the foundation’s mission is simple yet profound: to serve others and create a positive impact.
Whether through hot meals, small acts of kindness, or ongoing community initiatives, TSTGF continues to uplift those who need it most.
