Water supply woes continue in parts of Kempton Park
While water has been restored in many areas, high-lying suburbs remain affected and a full system recovery may take up to two weeks.
Several suburbs in Kempton Park continue to face water supply interruptions following recent Rand Water maintenance, as reservoir levels across the City of Ekurhuleni gradually recover.
While water has been restored in many areas, high-lying suburbs remain affected due to the slow refilling of municipal reservoirs.
The City of Ekurhuleni has indicated that the full recovery process may take up to two weeks.

In Kempton Park, the following areas are still experiencing water supply challenges:

Cresslawn

Birchleigh
Other affected areas across Ekurhuleni include parts of Germiston, Daveyton, Tsakani, and KwaThema. These include Germiston CBD, Lambton, Etwatwa, Langaville, and Wright Park, among others.
The City has acknowledged that the list of impacted suburbs is not exhaustive, and surrounding areas may also be experiencing low pressure or no water due to the gradual nature of the recovery.
To assist affected communities, water tankers have been deployed. The City is sharing updates via its digital platforms and through local ward councillors.
“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank residents for their patience during this period,” the City said in a statement.
