EMPD cracks down on reckless taxi drivers
Officers conducted a sting operation where two taxi drivers were arrested for driving recklessly on the shoulder of the road and officers also impounded three taxis.
EMPD Northern Region Task Team officers, arrested two suspects for reckless and negligent driving in the Kempton Park area.
On June 12 at around 06:00 officers received a complaint about taxis disregarding the rules of the road on Zuurfontein Road.

The duo aged 37 and 41 years, were handcuffed and detained at Sebenza Police Station.
A case of reckless and negligent driving was opened and they are expected to appear at the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court soon.
