Thembisa police and patrollers search Ipontse Primary School for prohibited items

SAPS, community safety teams, and Siyabangena patrollers conducted a thorough search at Ipontse Primary School to remove prohibited items, promote awareness, and ensure a safe learning environment for students and staff.

The SAPS, Community Safety, the CPF, the EMPD and Siyabangena patrollers searched Ipontse Primary School for prohibited items.
The operation, led by Tembisa South SAPS station commander Colonel Pero and Vispol commander Lieutenant Colonel Nzuza, aimed to promote a safe and secure learning environment by identifying and removing prohibited items.

Constable Kate Selepe of the Tembisa South SAPS said the initiative created awareness and prevented learners from bringing prohibited items into schools.

“As the police, we are here to create a safe and secure environment for learners and staff, while teaching them about the importance of safety and security. A thorough search was professionally and respectfully completed,” she explained.
