Kempton Park Road Runners host annual stofpad trail run

The Kempton Park Road Runners welcomed 65 participants to their popular Stofpad trail run at Erora off-road track, featuring 6km and 12km routes, spot prizes, and post-run festivities.

The Kempton Park Road Runners (KPRR) hosted their much-anticipated annual Stofpad trail run on August 2 at the popular Erora off-road track in Esselen Park.

Locally known as the Erora Motocross facility, the venue is a favourite among off-road enthusiasts and is conveniently situated along Modderfontein Road in Kempton Park.

Club chairperson Frits Klaver welcomed runners as they arrived, with 65 participants tackling either the 6km or 12km trail routes.

The event wasn’t just about the run with spot prizes, including running shoes and gift vouchers, adding excitement to the post-run festivities.

Now a staple on the Kempton Park Road Runners’ calendar, the Stofpad run continues to grow in popularity.

The event concluded in true KPRR spirit, with participants enjoying refreshments, camaraderie, and plenty of good cheer.

Whether training for the next Comrades Marathon, looking to stay fit, or simply enjoying social runs, Kempton Park Road Runners offers support for all levels of runners.

Weekly time trials take place every Tuesday at Barnard Stadium, starting from September 2, providing members with a great way to track fitness and stay connected with fellow runners.
