Norkem Park SAPS were also present to ensure the safety of patrons and vendors.

KEKE’S mobile kitchen was at the market.

Event organiser Sebolelo Tlhako said the market aims to boost the local economy and promote self-employment.

“Market Day is a chance for community members to share their skills and crafts with the public,” she said.

Barbara Makhusha and her partner were selling handbags at the market.

“There has been tremendous development from our first market to this seventh one. This time we even had stalls for young entrepreneurs, including stalls such as Tintswalo Bakery.”

“We hope the community will continue to support the market. We are already looking forward to our next market in November,” Tlhako said.

Community member Lizanda Joshua urged the community to support local businesses.
