Ekurhuleni invites nominations for Ward 91 committee elections
The City of Ekurhuleni is calling on organised formations, interest groups, and sectors to nominate candidates for Ward 91 committee elections.
The City of Ekurhuleni is inviting all organised formations, interest groups and sectors to nominate candidates for the upcoming election of committee members in Ward 91.
Nominations opened on October 1 and will close on October 15. Nomination forms are available at customer care centres, libraries, and public participation offices.
Completed forms can be submitted in person at the community participation & education offices, 4th Floor, Kempton Park Civic Centre, or via email to Yolandi Smith at Yolandi.smith@ekurhuleni.gov.za

The elections will be held on October 29 at 18:00 at Coen Scholtz Community Hall, Kempton Park, and will cover the following sectors:
• SHRAC
• Community Safety
• Youth
• Economic Development & City Planning
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be nominated or elected as a Ward Committee member:
• Be a South African citizen
• Be a registered voter in the ward
• Be at least 18 years old
• Have no criminal convictions
• Not owe council money for services, or be in arrears, but willing to settle according to council policy
• Documents to submit with the nomination form
• Letter from the nominating organisation
• Copy of the candidate’s identification document
• Copy of a water and lights account
