Technicians from the City of Ekurhuleni have begun restoring power to as many residents as possible in Bredell, Pomona, and parts of Glen Marais, following days of outages.

The power interruptions began on Friday evening, and several revised restoration times were issued as teams worked to address multiple faults.
Ward 25 Councillor Marinda Beukes continues to engage with the Mayor’s office, calling the situation “very bad” and emphasising the significant impact on families, businesses, and matric learners.
The City has urged residents to treat all electrical points as live and apologised for the ongoing inconvenience.
