Power restoration in Pomona and Bredell now expected by 18:30

The City of Ekurhuleni has revised its estimated restoration time (ERT) for power supply in Pomona, Bredell, and parts of Glen Marais to 18:30 this evening.

Large parts of these areas have been without power since Friday evening, leaving residents frustrated and calling for urgent action.

Ward 25 Councillor Marinda Beukes earlier confirmed that she had escalated the matter to the Mayor’s office, while city spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said multiple faults had complicated repair efforts.

The City has again apologised for the ongoing inconvenience and urged residents to treat all electrical points as live while technicians continue their work.
