Councillor takes Pomona/Bredell power fight to mayor’s office

Beukes said she and her Chief Whip were at the Mayor’s office, hoping to get clarity on the cause of the outage and the plan to restore power.

Ward 25 Councillor Marinda Beukes said she is doing everything in her power to get answers from the City of Ekurhuleni as parts of Pomona and Bredell remain without electricity since Friday.

“This is a very bad situation,” said Beukes.

“Residents have lost thousands of rands worth of food, businesses cannot operate, and the saddest part is that our Grade 12 learners cannot study for their final exams.”
