Power fully restored to Bredell, Pomona and Glen Marais

The City of Ekurhuleni has confirmed that power supply to Bredell, Pomona and Glen Marais has been fully restored following several days of outages caused by vandalism to electrical infrastructure.

“City technicians worked through the night to complete repairs and restore supply to all affected areas in Kempton Park,” said spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.

Although electricity has been restored, the City said teams will continue to monitor the grid’s performance to ensure stability.

“Residents are urged to use electricity sparingly and to report any acts of vandalism or suspicious activity that could affect the network.”
