Hoërskool Kempton Park Revue shines with top-three national finish

Hoërskool Kempton Park’s Revue achieved third place at the South African Revue Championships, capping off a stellar season of creativity, innovation and performance excellence.

Hoërskool Kempton Park’s Revue capped off an extraordinary 2025 season, earning third place at the South African Revue Championships, with Hoërskool Overkruin and Hoërskool Oos-Moot taking first and second place respectively.

The talented ensemble also secured third place in the intermediate category of the Tshwane Youth Arts Festival’s Kaleidoscope competition and achieved Prestige (A++; 95%+) status while being named the item winner of the revue section of Nova Arté Performing Arts.

Their production, “Welcome to the New Age,” explored the impact of Artificial Intelligence and innovation, emphasising that while technology advances, humans remain at the heart of progress.

Audiences were thrilled by a dynamic mix of songs, including Video Killed the Radio Star, Chained to the Rhythm, Nkalakatha and Mr. Roboto, woven seamlessly to tell a story of innovation balanced with humanity.

“Months of preparation since February ensured that the team’s creativity, precision and passion shone through, leaving a lasting impression on both audiences and adjudicators alike,” said Hoërskool Kempton Park teacher and Revue organiser Paul da Costa.
