The Barnstormers Model Flying Club will host its annual Barnstormers Airshow on October 31 at its flying field on the R25 near Kempton Park.

The event will feature a full day of radio-controlled aviation displays, including jets, warbirds, helicopters, drones and precision aerobatic demonstrations.

Visitors can expect flying displays by model aircraft pilots from across South Africa, showcasing scale replicas of well-known aircraft alongside the latest radio-controlled aviation technology.

The event will also include food stalls, hobby exhibits, a children’s entertainment area and designated spectator viewing areas.

Club vice-chairperson Paul Randall said the airshow is about bringing together model aviation enthusiasts from around the country.

“Barnstormers has always been about sharing the joy of flight. We’re inviting pilots from clubs across the country to join us and make this year’s show our biggest yet,” he said.

The airshow has become a popular annual attraction, drawing visitors from Kempton Park, Benoni, Boksburg and surrounding areas.

Gates open at 08:00. Entry costs R100 per car and R50 per motorcycle, with family packages also available. The venue offers secure parking and visitor facilities.
