Multiple suburbs have reported a sudden loss of electricity, with initial indications pointing to a trip on Eskom’s side of the grid.
The outage is also affecting areas supplied through the municipality, including O.R. Tambo International Airport.
Eskom stated that restoring supply is its highest priority, and teams are working with urgency to resolve the issue as quickly and safely as possible.
