Artists paint for a purpose to support Kempton Ferals

Paint for a purpose event held to raise funds for Kempton Ferals.

The East Rand came together colourfully and creatively for a special Paint for a Purpose fundraising event in support of Kempton Ferals on November 29.

The organisation is dedicated to sterilising feral cats and finding loving homes for cats and kittens across the region.

The event was hosted by local Benoni artist Sonette van der Merwe, owner of Messy Masterpieces.

A total of 46 passionate painters attended, bringing their creativity not only for a fun afternoon but also to make a meaningful difference.

Van der Merwe said she was overwhelmed by the kindness and support of the community and looks forward to hosting more initiatives where creativity meets purpose.

“Brushstrokes, colour, and community spirit filled the room as guests painted for a cause close to many hearts.

“The fundraiser was a huge success, raising much-needed funds for Kempton Ferals’ ongoing sterilisation and rescue efforts,” Van der Merwe said.

She extended a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and supported the event.
