EMPD issues fines during scholar transport inspections in Ekurhuleni

Officers from the EMPD Northern Region conducted scholar transportation operations across the region between February 16 and 20.

As part of compliance checks, officers visited Dowerglen High School, Bonaero Primary School and ECW schools to ensure that scholar transport vehicles were operating in accordance with road safety regulations.

During the operation, 35 traffic fines were issued, and one vehicle was discontinued for non-compliance.

EMPD confirmed that similar scholar transport operations will continue in the Northern Region to promote learner safety and enforce traffic regulations.
