Emperors Palace night market draws crowds for food, shopping and family fun

Hundreds of visitors flocked to Emperors Palace as popular night markets merged, offering gourmet street food, live shopping and a vibrant social atmosphere.

Hundreds of families, food lovers, and retail enthusiasts descended on Emperors Palace for two nights of market activity as the Benoni Night Market and Alberton Food Fest merged with the Emperors Palace Night Market.

Among the attendees who sampled some of the refreshments in the gourmet street food zone in the undercover parkade across from the Red Roman Shed were Thembisa siblings Gugu, Ceey, and Khanyi Jokia. For those interested in handcrafted goods and boutique finds, the Red Shed.

Emperors Palace’s Red Roman Shed and adjacent undercover parkade were packed to capacity this past weekend as the Benoni Night Market and Alberton Food Fest merged with the Emperors Palace Night Market for a massive food and shopping event.
