April SASSA grant payments underway with increased amounts
Social grant beneficiaries can now access April payments, with higher payouts across most grants and updated payment dates confirmed.
Social grant payments for April are now underway, and beneficiaries are encouraged to check their payment dates and amounts.
According to Lungelo Mkamba, senior manager: communication and marketing for the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in the Gauteng region, Older Persons Grants started being paid on April 2, and recipients who also receive Child Support or Foster Care Grants were able to access these linked children’s grants on the same day. Payments for people with disabilities, including grants linked to their accounts, began on April 7, while all other grants will be paid from April 8.
