Fatal crash causes major traffic delays at R21 and R24 split

The EMPD, SAPS and emergency services are on scene managing and monitoring the situation. Two lanes remain closed to traffic.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the R21 and R24 split heading southbound, just after Voortrekker Road, following a serious accident that has caused heavy traffic congestion in the area.

The collision involved two motor vehicles and has reportedly resulted in two fatalities. Two lanes are currently affected, causing significant delays for motorists travelling through the area.

The EMPD Bike Unit, the SAPS and emergency services are on scene managing and monitoring the situation.

Motorists are advised to approach the area with caution and make use of alternative routes where possible.
