Paint for a purpose at Kempton Park feral cat fundraiser

Trap-neuter-return (TNR) programmes help reduce the number of unwanted and homeless cats in the area.

Residents can enjoy an afternoon of painting, food and fun while raising funds for feral cats in need at an upcoming fundraiser in Boksburg.

Kempton Park Feral Felines has partnered with Messy Masterpieces for a Sip and Paint event on October 10 from 14:00 to 17:00 at the Cardinals Baseball Grounds.

The afternoon will include a welcome drink, a platter for each table and a guided painting experience. Guests do not need any previous painting experience, with Messy Masterpieces guiding participants through the creation of their own artwork.

The event aims to raise much-needed funds for Kempton Park Feral Felines, a community organisation that assists abandoned kittens and vulnerable community cats.

The organisation provides food, veterinary care and sterilisation, while also running trap-neuter-return (TNR) programmes to help reduce the number of unwanted and homeless cats in the area.

“Every ticket helps us continue rescuing, feeding, sterilising and caring for the cats who need us most,” the organisation said.

Tickets cost R385 per person and include the painting experience, a welcome drink and a platter for each table. Only 130 tickets are available.

Residents wanting to attend are encouraged to book by WhatsApping Sian on 083 290 3590.

Those unable to attend can still support Kempton Park Feral Felines through adoptions, food donations or contributions towards veterinary bills.
