Thembisa Matric Awards celebrate top schools and outstanding educators

The 2025 Thembisa Matric Awards, hosted by the B & M Foundation in partnership with HIA, recognised academic excellence, school improvement and dedicated educators at a ceremony held in Thembisa on January 24.

The Thembisa Matric Awards, presented by the B & M Foundation in partnership with HIA, were held at the Christian Family Church in Thembisa on January 24.

Most improved school – Thembisa Commerce Entrepreneurship School of Specialisation.

While Jiyana Secondary School maintained its position as the top-performing school for the sixth time in eight years, and Thembisa West Secondary School became the only school to receive a top award twice during the eight-year history of the event, significant improvements were recorded across several schools in Thembisa.
