Pensioner helped at voting station
'Thank you very much, it is so nice to see people still care'

My husband and I, pensioners, went to vote at Laerskool Impala.
As we live in the enclosure, we walked to the school. When we got to the gate to go in to vote, my husband fell on the pavement.
Two men carried him into the school property and with the help from other people his wounds were dressed and he was assisted by a young man to go and vote.
I went and fetched my car as my husband was not able to walk home. Once I arrived, he was helped to the car. We would just like to thank all the people who played a part in helping us, especially the gentleman who got his first aid kit out of his car, the nurse who came to assist with the wounds on my husband’s knees.
Thank you very much, it is so nice to see people still care.
