Outstanding service from security company
The James family of Edleen are really grateful for the wonderful service they received from Cobus Heymans after their house was burgled
WILLIAM JAMES from Edleen writes:
I am writing this letter in order to give a big thank you to PHS COPS which operates within the Edleen, Kempton Park area.
My house was broken into on May 2 at around 12pm while I was away in Durban and my family wasn’t at home at the time.
Cobus Heymans of the security company was sent to investigate my property after the alarm had gone off.
Upon arrival at my house, Heymans searched the front area and made his way to the back where he noticed two of the burglars running from the house towards the back wall.
One of the burglars pulled out a gun and tried to shoot at Heymans, to which he responded swiftly by firing a shot to the wall of the house to try deter the criminals from firing straight at him.
The two criminals then fled in a getaway car that was parked in the street behind the house.
In the meantime, the control room had contacted me to explain the situation, after which I contacted Heymans, who was still at the house.
Heymans played an instrumental role in helping my family and I through this whole ordeal, from communicating with the local police, managing every aspect of the investigation at my property, to even going as far as overseeing the contractors on the property in order to speedily repair some of the damage caused during the break in.
During this time, Heymans kept me in the loop about everything that was happening at the house. This placed my mind at ease throughout this difficult ordeal. If there is one thing in life that causes panic is the feeling of “not knowing”, but Heymans made sure I knew about everything that was happening.
After the incident, Heymans made sure we had a guard over at the house with additional patrols passing by to make sure they were alert should the robbers decide to come back.
I would just like to send a big thank you to Cobus Heymans, because even when your own life was in danger, you still put your job first and made my family’s safety a priority.
We are pleased to have a person such as yourself looking after us. We really appreciate your services and dedication to your job.
