Please, keep them safe by keeping them inside
'My dogs are also like family and therefore mine sleep indoors'

KARIN from Croydon writes:
I refer to the letter from Marius Petzer (Kempton Express, June 5).
It saddens me so much when I read about dogs being poisoned at night as this does not need to happen. My dogs are also “like family” and therefore mine sleep indoors.
I urge all dog owners to allow their dogs to sleep indoors for the following reasons:
If an intruder enters your property, your dogs will bark, alerting you so you can either press your panic button or phone the police. The intruder will hear your dogs barking, which will deter him from breaking in as he will realise you are awake.
Your dogs will not be poisoned at night.
In this freezing weather, your dogs will be warm and safe. It breaks my heart when I hear my neighbours’ dogs barking outside, in despair, when its 0-1 degrees. Please, people, keep your pets indoors.
