Family goes all out to help accident kids

Dad: 'I will forever be indebted to your kindness, nowadays you don’t get this'

LLEWELLYN HEATH writes:

My wife and kids were involved in an accident on July 30 on Highveld Road. It was a very unfortunate incident with four cars involved.

So many people complain about the service in general and how bad the metro police are. However, to all concerned, from the metro police to the paramedics, a big thank you. You guys were really awesome.

But this letter is not only about them. I arrived at the scene about 25 minutes after the incident had happened. When I arrived, I asked my wife where our kids were.

This was when I received the biggest surprise ever, I think. The accident happened at an intersection. The family who lives on the corner came out and took my kids into their home, out of the cold and away from the scene.

I will forever be indebted to your kindness, nowadays you don’t get this.

When I arrived at their house to check up on the kids, they had given them juice. My six-year-old is very fussy and didn’t want the juice. This family then made my daughter Nesquick.

They not only did this but being around 5.30pm, they even went so far to make my kids dinner.

The week before our sermon was about being good to people. Oh, my word, you can’t get any better at being good to others as this family was to our family.
