Get the same people to deliver our accounts
'Why is it that the final notices can be delivered without effort and on time but not our accounts?'

I would like to air my two cents worth of comment on Themba Gadebe’s comments in Kempton Express regarding the delayed accounts received by residents and subsequent late payments.
Themba Gadebe acknowledges that the postal service is on strike and knows that residents are not receiving their accounts, yet he made statements such as late payment will incur arrears and interest and off course, Ekurhuleni’s famous final notice fee.
Which brings me to the reason for writing this letter.
Can Themba Gadebe please explain to me in simple, straight forward terms, and please do not waste your and my time in explaining in politically correct ways, why is it that the final notices can be delivered without effort and on time but not our accounts.
Your statement that residents can view accounts on the net or visit the municipal offices in obtaining accounts are just an excuse for your bad service you deliver. You know for a fact that not all residents have access to the internet, and, paying a visit to your office is an experience of standing in queues for ages just to find that it is the wrong one and then shunted around.
In conclusion, Themba Gadebe, please do the right thing and make use of the same people who deliver your final notices to deliver our accounts and the problem will be solved.
