‘Wow! Getting my first car!’

I want to tell you about my experience buying a new vehicle and the great service I received from GM Imperial Isando.

I should probably start this off by saying I’m not the easiest person to deal with.

Due to a rather strange turn of events my family was left with one car between three of us. That car was my previous vehicle, a little Hyundai Atos 1.1.

I was happy with the car but it wasn’t in my name. I told my dearest daddy he must not buy a new car. He must take the Atos because I’m a big girl now and I want my own car in my name and I knew exactly which car I wanted.

I saw the Chevy Spark LT 1.2 and I fell in love at first sight. Now it was time for the specifics.

I didn’t want any colour, any model or a demo. I wanted a new Chevy Spark LT 1.2 Maranello red, black decals, red and black leather seats, black alloy rims, with smash and grab.

Anyway, I went from dealer to dealer trying to find the car I wanted. I even called Chevy head office looking for the specific vehicle I wanted. Needless to say, I had the whole of Chevy SA run up and down like headless chickens looking for what I wanted.

It just so ended up my car wasn’t in production yet, so no matter what dealer I got it from, I had to wait. However, GM Imperial Isando made the wait worth it.

I dealt with Magda Short and Mapula Mmako. They beat the quotes received from every other dealer and they offered me the use of their vehicles while waiting for mine. They kept me informed and offered top class service.

The first car they loaned me was a Chevy Spark LS and that really put the fire in my rear. This was a taste of what I was going to get. I was a 19-year-old floating on a cloud of ecstasy.

On October 22 they let me know my car was on its way from production and from there I don’t think my heart stopped pounding, “My baby is here! It’s coming!” My mother considered taking me to a mental clinic because I was one screw away from bouncing off the walls.

On October 30 they told me my car was ready to go home.

I filled in the last of the documentation, paid the last of my deposit and then I saw her. There my baby was with a yellow bow and balloons, “Congrats Miss BA Goose on taking delivery of your new Chevy Spark 1.2 LT 5 door”.

I was scared to touch it. I wasn’t sure whether to cry or jump up and down. All I can say is, I have never been as happy or excited as I was at that exact moment and the women at GM Isando made it possible.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for the service, assistance, patience and amazing experience in getting my “first” car.
