Once proud building in state of disrepair
At least the building is smelling like Something Fishy, KFC or Nandos!

Why has nobody informed us that Ekurhuleni is closing the municipal offices in Kempton Park?
I visited the municipal building on CR Swart Drive recently and was shocked to see in what state of disrepair the building was. Is council abandoning the building?
At the main entrance the storm water drain is blocked. The rotating door is out of order. Most of the lights are already switched off. The windows on the staircase are painted with pigeon poop. Not just one, all of them.
The walls are filthy, stained with food and fat. The wall paper is coming off. Certificates in the hallway are trying to get out of the frames. Dead pot plants are begging for attention. The plant containers are only good to keep the security doors open on a permanent basis.
The best is that the doors to the mayor’s parlour are being locked with the legs of a chair. A water leak from the roof is staining the walls and carpets.
This is on the floor where the city manager’s and councillors’ offices are based. If they cannot look after the area where they are working, how can they manage Kempton Park?
One positive remark. At least the building is smelling like Something Fishy, KFC or Nandos!
If this once proud building of ours is demolished, what are we going to do then? Build a new one?
Kempton Park manager, please remember to switch the lights off when you leave!
