Unbearable noise at Barnard Stadium on Sunday night
'I hope next time you have a function Eskom decides you need a decent night's sleep and turns the power off'

I am a resident living on Huggett Street.
Sunday night, December 14, was totally unbearable. The noise levitating from Barnard Stadium until 4am was completely unacceptable.
The management of Barnard Stadium advised that there was nothing they could do. Really now? My constitutional right says that loud music on a Sunday night has to be turned down by midnight.
When you call our “ever present” police force for help their response is that there is nothing they can do. But let our esteemed officers catch you on a cell phone whilst driving and there is certainly something they can do – but I suppose the big matters are out of their hands.
Well Barnard Stadium, my question to you is very simple: do we, the residents of Kempton Park, not have the right to get a decent night’s sleep?
I am a Christian woman and I pray every day and my prayer for the next few weeks is that every time you have a function at the stadium, Eskom decides you need a decent night’s sleep and turn the power off.
