Let’s blacklist these tenants
'Thank you to the decent tenants I have had in the past and present'

MRS KING writes:
Why is it that when you rent a garden cottage to someone, they think they own shares in your property: do not have to pay you a decent rent, can behave like hooligans, any or all family can come and live in the premises and totally disrespect you.
Why do they give you a hard time when you want to have a legal written contract entered into with them. They will not have a problem with this at an estate agent. When vacating your property, they can leave it broken and like a pigsty.
When you evict them, they threaten you with “their” lawyer or family who is in the law, the high court or whatever. When you use their deposit or part thereof to clean and fix their filth?
Many have the attitude that it is a hobby for you, that they do not really have to pay for accommodation. The adage: paying for soup meat but wanting fillet steak is their attitude. They will never enjoy the same safety, security and privacy at any other premises for the same price.
Thank you to the decent tenants I have had in the past and present.
I would like to initiate a type of “index” for garden cottage owners where we can “blacklist” these tenants. Because when you/I evict them, they rent from you/me again and we do not know what we harbour on our properties.
If you would like to contact me, send an email to nintelle@gmail.com so we can start protecting ourselves.
