Children will be killed on this road
'We as drivers will not be able to live with ourselves if we had to kill a little person'

This is quick mail to bring to your attention our unfortunate but lucky experience that we have had for the third time on Thursday morning, April 23.
My brother and I travel on Pomona Road every morning, which is very busy with early morning traffic.
One thing I have noticed since we started travelling on this road, is the frightening number of little children that walk and cross the road all by themselves every morning. This happens close to the intersection with Gladiator Street in Rhodesfield.
This morning, for the third time, a little child ran in front of our car. We had to react very quickly to avoid hitting this child. We were lucky and thankful there was no one in the other lane, otherwise we would have hit them trying to avoid the child.
The purpose of my mail is to ask that parents in this area accompany their children on their route to school or at least have someone more experienced accompany their children when crossing these busy roads.
We as drivers will not be able to live with ourselves if we had to kill a little person due to parents’ ignorance. Letting a child in this dangerous day and age walk anywhere by themselves is unacceptable.
