Dumping attracts criminal elements
All departments seem to pass it on to the next

I write to share my concern over the issue of dumping that seems to be growing out of proportion in the area between the houses on Wilderpruim Street and the Gautrain railway line.
It all started with one Isuzu truck (registration known) making at least three trips a day to dump rubble and what appears to be junk from some construction site. Now the number of trucks and trips have almost trebled.
Metro cops were once called to attend, but the woman who appeared in charge of the particular team thought it was too petty or trivial for her to give much attention.
The call centre has been contacted, but all departments seem to pass it on to the next. Who can assist?
Along with the obvious mess and environmental disfigurement, this problem brings along the much dreaded criminals who pose as scrap metal seekers.
