Martiens’ bravery and passing will not be in vain, they will pay!

The only positive from this tragic event is the show of comradery and solidarity that was shown by my fellow residents and neighbours

ANDREA MURRAY writes:

I am a resident of Flamboyant Road, Edleen, and I would like to make my views of Saturday’s tragedy known.

I would like to thank my fellow Flamboyant Road residents and neighbours for taking back our street!

The show of force I experienced on Saturday afternoon was amazing. You’d think these criminals would have learnt by now that they cannot come into our community thinking that they can hold us to ransom forcing us to hide behind high walls and electric fences because we say NO MORE!

We have had two hijackings in a two block radius around Flamboyant Road in the last two months where the community have come to the aid of the people being hijacked and both sets of hijackers were apprehended by Edleen residents.

Martiens, your bravery and passing will not be in vain, they will pay!

The only positive from this tragic event is the show of solidarity that was shown by my fellow residents and neighbours.

I am proud to be a Flamboyant Road resident and this goes out as a warning to all criminals out there, we will not be bullied anymore!
