When will the police get crime under control?

Parents discourage their adult children from buying property in Kempton

HB of Edleen writes:

Crime has probably never been higher in Kempton Park than in recent months.

The TV and the media keep bombarding us with the horrible statistics, frightening stories and gruesome photos.

Some of our local doctors cannot bear it anymore to be confronted day after day with the results of previous night’s efforts from brutal house robbers that they need to stitch up and consider relocating their practices.

Parents discourage their adult children from buying property in Kempton because it is a war zone and the SAPS has lost this war. It is not a question of whether you will become a victim of crime, only when it will be your turn.

Unfortunately, the police, whom we pay through our taxes to protect us, are totally silent. They cannot promise to do more as money is always the problem. Even if they ask for it, they will not get enough as those on the gravy train milk our public funds until there is nothing left.

The police have become a placebo – an empty shell that looks like the real thing but does not achieve much and has lost the public’s respect and trust. Maybe they should all resign and let’s use their salaries to build houses for the poor.
