Metro’s legacy is an embarrassment

How can we protest against the corruption?

STEFAN HOUGH writes:

Ekurhuleni Metro’s legacy is an embarrassment.

When driving towards Tembisa on Pretoria Road past the traffic circle near Birchleigh, the scenery becomes shocking. The neglect and abuse of municipal property is so bad that the following issues will be addressed at the next meeting of Birchleigh Ratepayers Association.

Are the municipal services delivered for the property taxes we pay?

Can we invite a municipal member from the Cape Town metro to inform us how municipal services should be delivered?

How can we protest against the corruption of incapable, unqualified cadres being appointed as officials but receiving the full salary?

Has the Ekurhuleni Metro reached the point of dysfunction?
