Having attended the City meets Business energy presentation on August 20, Ekurhuleni Business Association (EBA) wishes to congratulate the municipality on the excellent work done during 2014 in achieving their targets in all objectives set for the year in households electrified, lighting masts erected, street lights installed, substations upgraded, etc.

Well done to electricity men

A different view to service delivery

The reduction in the number of unplanned outages between 2013 and 2014 is of note and the percentage of outages restored between one and a half and three hours is pleasing.

Plans for the development of alternative energy sources are to be lauded with the installation of solar panels in Wattville and plans for a solar farm, including plans for three landfill generator sites.

Business also thanks the municipality for avoiding load shedding in the industrial areas but understands that this could not be done in the businesses located in the commercial areas. We as businesses therefore thank the electricity department in its efforts to provide an improved service to the businesses of Ekurhuleni.
