Thumbs up for Tembisa Hospital

'I made many friends, both black and white'

SCORPIO of Birch Acres writes:

I wish to publicly thank Dr Marais and his team at Tembisa Hospital ICU High Care for saving my life three weeks ago.

The dedication to duty was of a standard one can expect at most private hospitals. Doctor, you gave me back something I can never thank you for – my life.

And to the staff, thank you for caring for my every need. I also wish to thank Dr Grobbelaar for his attention to detail and his personal care during recuperation and aftercare.

I am 64 – I should not have pulled through this but for the efficiency of Tembisa Hospital staff.

There is generally a bad perception of Tembisa Hospital in Kempton Express and I wish to allay these unfounded fears. The only “rats” I saw had wings. Cute little birds flying in and out of the ward made a welcome distraction.

I made many friends, both black and white, while in aftercare, friends I will continue to keep in touch with.

In short, I give the new upgraded Tembisa Hospital a big thumbs up!
