Neighbours pull together against tree fire
“The tree was still smouldering when I got home.”

SOPHIA CLARKE of Bonaero Park writes:
I hereby want to express my deepest heartfelt thanks to my neighbours, Sandy and her husband, Joan and her husband, in Essendon Avenue, the fire brigade of Kempton Park, PHP armed response, CMS and the extensive neighbourhood for the quick response and care they showed to stand as a unit and to rescue my premises.
On December 4, while I was still on duty around 6.30pm, lightning struck my premises and set one of the palm trees alight.
The blaze was extensive and needed to be put out by the fire brigade. On my arrival home, my supportive neighbours, the lights of the fire engines and the armed response security were there to comfort and reassure me.
The tree was still smouldering when I got home but by the grace of God things were taken care of and my house was saved from the fire.
May you all have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2016. God’s richest blessings.
