Creating jobs should be a top priority

There is so much desperation among our people as so many are unemployed

GEORGIE Z from Birchleigh North writes:

The aftershocks of the election are raging and what happens between now and the general elections will shape the future of the country.

The general feeling is that Zuma must go. However, the ANC’s NEC refuses to oblige as they are afraid they will lose their very lucrative political appointments and luxurious lifestyles. They now castigate those black voters who voted for the DA, which they conveniently describe as a predominantly “white” party.

They even promote the notion that the “ancestors” will punish those blacks who do not vote for the ANC.

Generally, the smaller parties have agreed to co-operate with the DA to bring about change. Some of the white Afrikaners, however, “sien ‘n nuwe gevaar – die DA en die EFF gaan saamsmelt”.

The EFF impressed me by saying it is not merging with any party but would retain its identity. It will co-operate to unseat the ANC. Its contribution was vital in stirring things up to unsettle the ANC. At one stage, I was worried that Zuma would become another Mugabe.

By promising “change” and “equal opportunities for all” the DA conquered. May God guide them with their difficult task. A good start will be to appoint capable people and not power-seeking/greedy politicians in government administrative positions.

Look how Zuma and his cronies are draining the country’s coffers and the negative impact their actions have.

Creating jobs should be a top priority. There is so much desperation among our people as so many are unemployed and they cannot put food on the table. Commodity prices are soaring and the ordinary people with ordinary jobs just cannot cope. I know what I am talking about because there are two male members in my family who are struggling to find work.
