Resident nine years without Telkom cables

Good luck with the battle ahead

ZELDA STEYN of Van Riebeeck Park writes:

Dear Living in Hope (“Cables stolen twice in four months“), I am normally a very optimistic, positive person.

I do, however, have to burst your bubble.

Our Telkom cables were stolen in October 2007. They simply refuse to replace them. It is an extremely weird situation – the one side of the road has Telkom lines, our side has none.

I love it when they cold call me. I always accept to only receive a call a couple of days later telling me that it simply it is not going to happen.

Good luck with the battle ahead. I hope you have more success than I did.
