‘No work being done to repair Kempton’s potholes’

'Come on Kempton, it is bad enough with all the litter, but to just ignore potholes for so long is not acceptable!'

J MOORE writes:

I have returned to Kempton Park from the KZN coast, and I am really sad that there appears to be no work being done to repair potholes in the Van Riebeeck Park/Edleen area after three months of my return.

There are plenty, but I highlight the really shocking ones on Blackthorne Road, adjacent to Pharmacy de Wiekus, and these are definitely to be avoided.

Then there is the section of road with yellow barriers in De Wiekus near Edleen Butchery, to which obviously no attention is being paid to repair, causing drivers to change to the inner lane to avoid this area. These are all busy areas in constant use. Councillors, are you trying to rectify the situation?

Come on Kempton, it is bad enough with all the litter (that’s another story), but to just ignore potholes for so long is not acceptable. When is something going to be done?

I feel ashamed to now say I live in Kempton Park, and try to mumble when I am asked where I stay now.
