GEORGIE Z of Birchleigh North writes:
I am very pleased that the drama created by Grace Mugabe has encouraged people who want Zuma removed to increase their efforts.
I found the following definition of a democracy in an analysis by a political science student at KZN University:
“It is essential to think holistically. Just because a man and a movement are opposed to a form of tyranny does not mean they are opposed to tyranny. There is a difference between using democracy to come to power and being democratic.
“A democrat is not defined as a person who came to power by democracy. A democrat is defined as a person who, when in power, welcomes debate and dissent. By this definition, it is clear that Zimbabwe was never a democracy. We should be proud our government welcomes dissent and in a democracy we need to protect this.”
Zuma’s actions to remove those ministers who voted for his removal is just more proof that he would like to follow Mugabe’s example and that he will never be a democrat.
Mugabe has ruined Zimbabwe. If Mrs Mugabe has to come to South Africa to have a sprained ankle treated it is obvious that Zimbabwe does not have the amenities.
There is a 41-year age difference between Mr and Mrs Mugabe and Mr Mugabe’s lifespan is limited.
Mrs Mugabe has established her spoilt brats in our country and she is buying expensive property. What are her motives?
