I live at Kelvin Power Station with a few hundred other residents in the complex and it grieves me that we have no way we can get to any place where such bins are situated.
The Bluff rubbish tip in Durban has all three such bins on site and it is easily accessible for all and sundry to dispose of these three items when people also have other refuse to tip into the bins.
At the same time, Mondi Paper used to provide orange bags to households for waste paper that is or was collected on a weekly basis by Mondi.
Would this council please consider placing bins, preferably at the entrance to the Kelvin grounds, where we can dispose of these three products and which can then be emptied by the relevant recycling companies to be processed, instead of having to witness articles like that being dumped along the roadsides and blown about by the wind?
